Christmas Alone

I know that I have not been on here much but things have been very crazy at our house. We have a new car and my husband had his R&R. Now we are getting ready for Christmas here and it is always hard when we don't have are SO with us. I try to make things fun for the kids and we do fun things every day but I just wish that I can do more for them. The in-laws are coming down for the holidays but it can be hard for me to feel like my self  some times. Do any of you feel like that? I mean my husband and I have only been together for almost 3 years and at times I just feel odd around them, but hey I can deal with it and just have some fun with us. Our kids love when they come. The have so much fun with them. So what do you guys do when your SO is not with you on the holidays

Staff duty

well tonight was duty night for my husband and a long night for me. I know that someone has to be at the desk at  all times, but why not have someone do it in the day and then a different person  at night. It is hard for them to stay up all night. Our house is very busy right now we are trying to potty train and intrdution a toddler bed to are youngest one. He dose not like the bed at night but he loves it during the day to  play on. I'm just thinking what will get him to like this bed and sleep in it, but he will like it at sometime. As always wounder what it will be like this time when my SO deploys aging. Will it be like last time or will a whole new thing happen? I don't know and I will never know. maybe that is why I can't sleep at night anymore.

CYSS

If you don't know what CYSS is it is like Day Care on post. why do they make you jump through hoops just so you can pay them to watch your kids? You have to put labels on everything and that takes more of your money to do and then paying them it just all adds just. We are only going to do hourly care and b/c of that there is only one place on post that do it. Why? I think that all of them should but hey what do i know. Our husbands can't watch the kids when we have to go do something, but then they make us go to meetings and don't have child care there. I just don't get it?  Then here when you SO is deployed you only get 16 free hours a month, when someone that just came from Carson said that they get 40 hours free. When the are deployed is when we need it the most. What dose every one think about CYSS

Hello Army wives and family

Hello. I'm not going to give my name but to say I'm an Army wife. For most people when the look at me they just see wife and mother, but that is not all. You can tell when someone is a Soldier by there hair and just by how the act well most of the time, but how do we tell who is a wife of a soldier? We have nothing that sets us out from any other wife or husband. Sometimes I feel like people forget who is standing with that soldier, and holding down the fort until the come home or if they don't. If you don't live this life or have then you don't really understand how it is. People see a glimpse of this on T.V. and in the news but it is not the real life. The TV is only there for the really happy or sad nothing that happens on the day to day. So I'm going to give you here a little bit of the day to day, and let you all in. I hope by doing this that someone will see a soldier and the wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend , mom.dad and the list goes on. ( you know who you are) to maybe take the time and thanks them for what they do b/c most of the time no one sees it.
